Tanks

Raw materials, fuel availability, and the storage of end products are critical to virtually all industrial sectors. Typically, large tanks are used for raw materials, fuels and end products. Small tanks or containers are used for temporary storage of (semi-) products. In order to store the substances and ensure their stability and safety during the production process, it is important to keep the inner temperature of tanks within a certain limit.

Insulation purposes

1. Cost savings:

Insulation significantly reduces heat loss and the so-called material breathing loss. Even at a comparatively low temperature (30 °C), the thermal insulation repayment usually takes less than 1 year, while the insulation life may take many years.

2. Environmental protection:

In addition to cost savings, reducing heat loss will result in lower CO2 emissions. Decreasing the breathing loss of harmful substances is beneficial to our environment.

3. Process Control:

Insulation measures prevent tanks from freezing or being heated by solar radiation. It also reduces the cooling of the stored substances, preventing them from curing and maintaining a solid form. In either case, additional heating or cooling can be applied.

4. Safety:

Fireproof insulation materials reduce the risks of the ignition of flammable media outside tanks. They also prevent contact by minimizing the surface (contact) temperature of tanks.
